Cardiac Diagnosis Mephisto is a visual sound interactive interface art work. It’s inspired by Wolfgang Von Goethe’s poetry Faust. In the book, Mephisto said “I’m not omnipotent , but I know a lot.” This art work also mimic the diagnosis scene of echo and stethoscope. And this interface aims to create heavy metal music without the real instruments. The sound is composed by two parts:
1.Heart beating distortion sound created by heart beating sensors through Arduino.
2.Melody created by distortion baritone notes by FSR sensors through Arduino and Chuck+.
3.Interactive Visuals done by Touch Designer
And the visuals is projected in a half closed space which is big enough for the head of the audience to see from the inside.
